Flieger Blauth is transferred to the Luftwaffen-Bau-Kompanien 311.

Blauth is transferred to Luftwaffen-Bau-Kompanien 2/311/111.
30 January40
Flieger Blauth is transferred to the 4./Flak-Ersatz-Battr Regiment General Göring a replacement battery with 1500mm searchlights, part of a replacement battalion formed within the RGG in the course of mobilization.

Blauth is transferred to 5./ Regiment General Göring a light flak battery component of the I./ Flak Regiment General Göring.

Flieger Blauth is promoted to the rank of Gefreiter.
1941
In early 1941 the regiment was then transferred to Ploesti ( Romania ). Later that year the unit took part in the campaign in Russia active in the Frontier Battles between the Bug and Styr .

Gefreiter Blauth is wounded.
5 July 41
In recognition of his wounds Gefreiter Blauth is awarded the Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Schwartz (Wound Badge in Black).
1942

Blauth returns to service with Ersatz-Bataillon Brigade Hermann Göring Vermessungs und Karten Sammelstelle, the surveying and mapping branch of Brigade Hermann Göring.

Due to the severity of his wounds received in July 1941 Obergefreiter Blauth is awarded the Verwundeten-Abzeichen in Silber (Wound Badge in Silver).
